Welcome! My name is LeAnn and I'm a new knitter. I'm pretty excited about taking knitting up as a obsession hobby and so far it seems to like me back. I started this blog so I'll have a place to talk about all my knitting adventures, my poor husband is tired of hearing about wool (Although he'll never admit that!)
I have a few projects on my done list and quite a few more on my to do list. The number 1 spot on my to do list goes to my son's birthday sweater. So far I have the back and one front finished and I just cast on the other front today. I hope to have it finished before Mat's birthday on the 29th. I'm a slow knitter so I figured starting early is a good thing.
I'm using Sugar n' Cream cotton in "Surf". It's a great worsted cotton and I'm enjoying working with it. It's true that cotton doesn't have the same stretch as wool but it's not super terrible to work with.
I have several more projects on the needles right now. I get a wicked case of knitting infidelity and I can't commit to just one project at a time. Besides the hoodie for my son I have a pink skull intarsia scarf for myself, a garter stitch scarf for my husband, a hoodie for my daughter, a scarf for my dad (I guess I like scarfs huh?) a poncho for my daughter and two prayer shawls. Not to mention I want to cast on for a pair of socks and a hoodie for myself. Quite a bit huh?
Well I'm off to work a bit on my projects, lest they gang up on me and kidnap my knitkit.
